* Stargate DVDs signed by the original movie's stars, Kurt Russell, Mili Avatal, Erick Avari and Alexis Cruz.

At last I have a new style for my journal, thank you to orbinglight aka Maggie aka SG-daniel from Gateworld, who gave me both the technology and the skills to create my new banner :). The 'Only When Needed' line in the banner was not only a reference to Daniels view on using his skills with a weapon but also a referance to how I normally use this LJ :P

Whether this now means it will get updated more often is another matter :P ironically because I currently have a nasty little virus on my computer I can't get onto Gateworld to post at the moment and this is one of the few places I can update! It looks like I am going to have to rebuild the computer to get rid of the virus, which also means I need to get hold of my original copy of Windows XP which I'm pretty sure I've lost ((doh))!

Bad Blood (episode 6)

I know I'm a fan of Michaels Shanks ;) but I really thought he gave a great performance in this episode. His role is that of a burned spy called Victor, he is there to recruit Michael Western (played by lead Jefferey Donovan) to help him pull off a heist. I've now watched the series from the beginning of season 2 and as I understand it the Michael Western character has been contacted by his former agency via his new handler Carla who has rather gratingly insisted that he follows all instructions given to him or his friends and family will bare the consequences. Michael Western has no choice therefore than to follow the clues left by Carla in the form of crossword puzzles one of which 'this week' lead him to Victor :D Victor comes as kind of a wacky off beat character, moving from being serious to maniacal in a matter of moments, and boy dose Michael Shanks pull this off! In the end you certainly get the feeling that Victor as well as being dangerous is not quite right in the head but is this a way of keeping MW (and therefore the audience) off kilter is another question and I can't wait to find out.

At moment I'm spending time creating some sigs based on Stargate episodes that relate to the Ancient story arc, which it seems starts in season 1! Is is possible TPTB were that far seeing? Hmmm :P

Vodka and Red Bull Christmas Cake

Ingredients:
1. 1 cup of water
2. 1 cup of brown sugar
3. 1 tsp baking soda
4. 1 cup of sugar
5. 1 tsp salt
6. Lemon Juice
7. 4 large eggs
8. Nuts
9. 1 bottle of Vodka
10. 1 can of Red Bull
11. 2 cups of dried fruit

Method:
1. Sample the Vodka to check the quality
2. Take a large bowl, check the vodka again.
3. To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and mix with a little red bull and drink.
4. Repeat.
5. Turn on the electric mixer, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
6. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.
7. At this point it’s best to make sure the Vodka is still ok.
8. Flavour with red bull to taste.
9. Try another cup – just in case turn off the mixer.
10. Break two large eggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
11. Pick fruit off floor.
12. Mix on the turner.
13. If the dried fruit gets stuck in the beaters, pry it loose with a drewscriver.
14. Shample the vodka to check for tansisticitity, flavour with a little red bull.
15. Next ssiffft the two cups of salt. Or something … who giveshz a sh**
16. Throw a pinch of Bed Rull over your shoulder.
17. Pick up the can, mop the floor.
18. Check the Vodka.
19. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
20. Add one table.
21. Add a shpoon of Shugar, or somfink. Whatever you can find.
22. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over..
23. Don’t forget to beat of the turner.
24. Finally throw the bowl through the window, finish the vodka and kick the radiator.
25. Fall into bed.

Hey,

This is my first time trying this live journal malarkey, :D I have been reading alot of very interesting entries form others and I have wanted to comment and the authors to know who I am, so here you go. :)

My interest when on the internet is usually Stargate related, I'm a Jack and Daniel fan, Daniel and Vala fan and all round Stargate fan.
